Front Yard Transformation
Location: Danville, CA
This project showcases a complete front yard renovation in Danville, California, where every element was redesigned to create a warm, inviting, and cohesive outdoor experience. The new layout features drought-tolerant plantings blended with seasonal flowers that will continue to fill in and bring softness and color over time. Updated pavers and thoughtfully placed walkways create a natural flow from the street to the home, giving the entrance a sense of clarity and elegance. At night, warm outdoor lighting highlights the textures and contrasts of the space, from the tones of the soil to the pavers, plantings, and the architecture of the home itself. The result is a welcoming landscape that feels refreshed, expressive, and ready to grow beautifully with the property.

Danville Backyard Remodel
A fresh layer of warm, reddish mulch sets the foundation for this drought tolerant garden. New succulents were planted throughout the space, chosen for their ability to spread, mature, and eventually create a full, textured landscape around the pool. This low maintenance design is perfect for clients who want a vibrant and resilient garden without the constant upkeep.
Custom Garden Bed
This project features a custom-built planter box crafted with richly toned cedar, a classic and durable choice for high-quality outdoor carpentry. The design highlights clean lines, precise joinery, and a warm natural finish that elevates any garden space. It showcases my ability to work with materiality, proportion, and fine detailing to create functional elements that also feel refined and intentional.
Architectural Elevation + Section
This drawing explores the interface between architecture and landscape through hand-drafted elevations and sections. The design highlights structural rhythm, shaded overhangs, integrated planters, and the relationship between built form and surrounding vegetation. The project focuses on proportion, façade articulation, and how landscape elements soften and support the architecture.

Front Yard Layout
This design reimagines a residential front yard with a soft, welcoming circulation flow. The concept introduces new walkways, layered planting beds, accent lighting, and subtle gathering moments like a bench and potted arrangements. The layout balances curb appeal, functionality, and planting composition, creating an inviting entry sequence that feels warm and livable.
Backyard CAD Work
This residential backyard design blends structure, movement, and ecological contrast. The layout features a custom deck as the central gathering space, framed by a mix of tropical and dry-garden plantings that create layered texture and year-round interest. Scaled pathways guide circulation through the yard, connecting the deck to the lawn and surrounding garden rooms. The composition balances lush foliage with drought-tolerant zones, offering a dynamic, sustainable outdoor space tailored for daily living and long-term growth.
Material and Site Detailing
This project showcases a series of detailed section views and plan drawings that explore planter boxes, concrete pavement, and a stair layout. These elements represent the essential foundation of landscape design, where materials, structure, and functionality come together. The drawings highlight how even the simplest constructions rely on precision, layering, and an understanding of how each component interacts with the site. By breaking down these features into clear technical sections, the project demonstrates the importance of craftsmanship, durability, and thoughtful spatial planning.
Large-Scale Residential Site Plan
This site plan develops a cohesive outdoor living environment across a complex residential property. The design integrates circulation paths, planting zones, terraces, and a variety of outdoor programs. It emphasizes spatial transitions, sightlines, and the natural flow of the site while creating functional areas for gathering, movement, and garden experience.
Large-Scale Residence 2
This variation explores the same site through a different visual language, emphasizing spatial flow and experiential movement rather than technical detail. Instead of focusing on material composition, this layout highlights how pathways, planting masses, and open lawn pockets shape a visitor’s journey. The drawing studies light, rhythm, and the soft transitions between planted edges and circulation, offering a more atmospheric interpretation of the design intent.
